The consultative workshop concentrated on issues for African countries but that also affect other regions. In particular, it discussed:
- The UIS proposed ‘core’ international indicators for Education
- The initial results of the UIS pilot international survey on ICTs in Education
- UIS work with the UNESCO Information for All Board on indicators for information literacy and ‘access to information’
- National requirements for indicators and capacity building
- Future activities/priorities for UIS in these subjects
