The course is based on the UNCTAD Manual for the Production of Statistics on the Information Economy and the ITU Manual for Measuring Access to, and Use of, Information and Communication Technologies by Households and Individuals, which are the main reference documents.

It was hosted by the Caribbean Knowledge Management Centre, at the UNECLAC Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean, in Port of Spain.
