At its 40th session in New York, the UN Statistical Commission has included ICT statistics in its agenda. The Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development will present a report, providing an overview of progress made by the Partnership since 2007. The report will be accompanied by a document detailing the revised core list of ICT indicators covering the areas of ICT infrastructure and access; access to and use of ICT by households and individuals; use of ICT by businesses; ICT trade and the ICT producing sector; and ICT in education.
UNCTAD will also present its 2009 Revised Edition of the Manual on the Production of Statistics on the Information Economy. The Revised Edition is the result of a consultation process with national statistical offices worldwide, which was organized in collaboration with the UN Statistical Division.
